Term 4! The end of the year is near can you believe it! Very soon the kiddies will be off and ready for year three! I hope this page still gets used to play games to support learning.

Wow! Our Time to Talk speeches have started! Check out Bradley, Ash Jeanne and Sampson - I am so pumped to see what else the children bring in to share. IMG_2555.JPGIMG_2547.JPG
The Knowledgathon is here! I hope you are busy working at home on both getting sponsors and doing the projects. I can't wait to see what comes in and am really looking forwards to giving out lots of stamps. The money you raise will help the school to get a new school hall. Please come and see me if you have any questions. :)

What a wonderful ANZAC ceremony we had today at Willowbank School. It was a very special moment for all involved.

Term two is going to be all about patterns. Patterns in our world and in the world around us. In Term 1 we got a jump start on this and went on a pattern treasure hunt around our school which was a lot of fun. This term we are going to further this and work to create our own visual art and musical patterns (hopefully!) but as usual, I would like the children to guide this part of their learning and tell me what interests they have in regards to patterns that we can explore further. During the time you have with your children, perhaps you all could explore what patterns are in your home?

Please get in touch at any time if you have any questions.

We were so lucky to have some soccer experts in to teach us all about soccer today! Look at us goIMG_1984.JPG
Please know that home learning has started! Every night your child will bring home a reader as well as basic facts and spelling words or word rings. It is very important that you help your child to learn these and that you read with them. Please write the date, title and sign off the book your child reads each night in their reading log. To further support your child encourage them to practice counting forwards and backwards to 100 each night in 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s as well as making the most of our awesome study ladder accounts. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Please see uploaded Term 1 newsletter.

*Please know that there are a number of students in Room 10 that have allergies. In particular to nuts and eggs. Please if you can send your child to school without these food items, it would be greatly appreciated.

Below is a copy of the weekly timetable for Room 10.

It is great for our learning and exploring to use the Internet. However it is important that we use it safely. Click on the link and check out Hector and his message about staying safe in Cyber Space. http://www.hectorsworld.com/island/index.html
